  • Very nice typical Chilean food. Sadly I had a problem with my food that put down the experience. We got the apologies and a coffee so o good still recommend them

  • It's a tourist restaurant if you're coming back to Santiago by land from the south. The menu is quite extensive full with Chilean traditional dishes. The main feature of this place is the serving size, reason why it's called John and a half. You will have a parking space, clean restaurant and a very friendly staff. Be aware that finding English spoken staff is very hard to find outside Santiago but they'll manage to serve you well. The home made cake as a desert it's something as human race we don't deserve.... Magnificent.

  • Meals are massive and delicious. Service was a bit slow this time because they were having issues with the kitchen but the waitresses were friendly and efficient. Pisco sour was too sweet and chilli sauce too salty. Everything else was amazing

  • This is a very famous restaurant in Chile. It serves typical Chilean dishes such as Pastel de Choclo, Plateada (tender beef roast), empanadas, humitas and even lamb. It's a very large restaurant with a lot of seating available. The wait staff are friendly and more attentive than typical Chilean restaurants. The food is prepared quickly and is delicious. The portion sizes are big. The inside is nicely decorated, it has a warm and family feel. The food is not overpriced, the cost for one person should be around $15 for a meal and a Coke (desert and salads would push that price up). They offer 'to go' containers for the extra food you will have. They make their own bread in-house (pan amasado) and it's wonderful.

  • Really good sandwiches and drinks but they are huge portions. The meat had good flavor and tender. This used to be a truck stop that has grown into a larger restaurant. The place is large and can get busy. The staff is friendly. Highly recommended!

  • Great food, great ambiance and fast and friendly service.

  • Authentic Chilean food restaurant on the way to and from wine country. My fave is the cazuela which is a hearty soup filled with vegetables and meat. Plates are sizable and can easily be shared.
